Art House Performing and Visual Arts Internships
Art House offers internships for college students and recent graduates who have an interest in pursuing a career in performing & visual arts. Our internships are a great opportunity to develop new skills and gain credible experience working with a tight-knit team that outwardly serves the Jersey City arts scene. Many interns have also subsequently been hired to work at Art House. Graphic Designer at Luna Stage
Luna Stage is a small professional theatre company founded in 1992 in Montclair, NJ, and operating since 2010 in West Orange, NJ. Luna welcomes ongoing submissions for seasonal unpaid internships and is currently looking for a graphic designer. Responsibilities and duties are as follows:
- Curate and create exciting visuals. Design playbills, print ads, flyers, posters, promo emails, online banners, and other marketing and advertising collateral.
- Help design and maintain marketing channels including website and social channels.
- Learn to use software and tools to support marketing and operations.
- Collaborate with Communications Director.
- Work closely with a phenomenal team with direct access to Managing and Artistic Directors, as part of a cohort of dedicated staff and volunteers!
Viacom: Music & Media Licensing and Standards
Viacom is a multi-national mass media company with interests primarily in film and television that offers paid internships. A summer 2020 internship in Music & Media Licensing and Standards involves negotiating costs and securing rights for music and other media used in programming. It also involves researching and reviewing copyright ownership information, drafting and preparing music licensing contracts for execution and analyzing programming rights information for internal and external clients.
Museum of Modern Art PS1: Development, Performance/Live Programming, Curatorial
Internship Program at MoMA PS1 offers hands-on internships for undergraduate and graduate students and beginning professionals with practical experience in a specific area of museum work. Our internship program provides the opportunity to learn about the operations of a non-profit art institution and work alongside some of the world’s most exciting contemporary artists and curators. In addition to departmental work, each Tuesday interns participate in professional development activities designed to increase understanding of the Museum’s various programs, exhibitions, and departments.
