Intern in Rep. Tom Malinowski’s District Office

Rep. Tom Malinowski’s Somerville district office is seeking unpaid interns for the Spring 2020 session. In the district office, interns may be asked to do a variety of tasks, including day-to-day office work such as answering phones, writing letters and assisting with media clips. In addition, interns may be assigned to assist in various constituent case work or work on district-based projects of importance. The hours are flexible to accommodate students’ course schedules, but generally run 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on weekdays. Apply here. Play a Part in the 2020 United States Census

The United States Census Bureau is hiring thousands of positions throughout the country to assist with the 2020 Census count including census takers, recruiting assistants, and other office staff. Positions pay up to $20 per hour (more in some locations). This is a great way to have an impact in your community and build your resume at the same time.

International Rescue Committee

The International Rescue Committee (IRC) works with people in over 40 countries and 26 U.S. cities forced to flee from war, conflict and disaster and the host communities that support them, as well as with those who remain within their homes and communities. IRC’s Elizabeth, NJ and New York City offices are seeking interns in numerous positions and subject areas including: economic empowerment; refugee resettlement; communications and social media; and emergency preparedness, among others.

Fluent Spanish Speakers Needed to Help Refugee and Migrant Children

Are you on a pre-law or Sociology track? Are you fluent in Spanish? Consider interning with Kids in Need of Defense (KIND) Newark Office. Located in Roseland, NJ and accessible via public transportation, the organization is seeking interns to assist with in-house (direct) and pro bono (volunteer) legal representation of unaccompanied children. It is also in need of a Social Services intern to assist in identifying and connecting with resources in the New Jersey area to support KIND clients. Assist a New Non-Profit in its Suicide Prevention Efforts

Looking for experience in the mental health field? REBORN is a suicide prevention nonprofit organization located in Highbridge, NJ that believes saving lives requires disruptive new approaches, fearless leadership, and a renewed sense of urgency. They received their 501(c)(3) status in May of 2018 and have since taken massive strides to further their mission. REBORN focuses on the age range of 18-24. They are looking for a Local Outreach Intern to assist in maintaining local relationships, presence in community, connections, and more! For more information check out their website!
