New Jersey Press Foundation – Paid Summer Journalism Program

Open to freshman, sophomores, and juniors attending NJ colleges and to NJ residents attending other U.S. colleges.  Internships will be at designated NJPA member media companies during the summer of 2020.  Interns will work in a newsroom at a NJ newspaper.  Minimum salary is $425 a week for eight weeks.  Deadline: Applications must be emailed no later than January 13, 2020.

Marketing and Advertising Education (MADE) Summer 2020 Paid Internship Program

The ANA Educational Foundation (AEF) is a non-profit organization which acts as the bridge connecting the marketing, advertising and academic communities. The MADE internship places you in a summer intern program at one of more than 50 marketing, advertising, or media companies. Participants include MasterCard, IBM, Sephora, NBC Universal, McCann, mcgarrybowen, and Ogilvy. Positioned as the “common app” for summer internships, this paid program is designed to provide students (Juniors and Seniors) with the skills, the mentors, and the training that will help them thrive in the industry. Rubin Museum, New York City – Summer 2020 Internships

The Rubin Museum of Art offers semester-long internships to qualified undergraduate students, graduate students, and recent graduates interested in the following areas: education, programming, communications, publications, exhibitions, collections and curatorial. In addition to assigned projects, interns have the opportunity to learn more about the museum field through group activities that include trips to cultural institutions, brown-bag lunch discussions with staff members, and career development workshops. All internships are unpaid. Academic requirements may be fulfilled by arrangement with the individual college or university. Deadline is April 15, 2020.

State Theater, New Brunswick, NJ – Marketing/PR, Graphic Design, Capital Campaign and Development Internships

The State Theatre is a nonprofit theater, located in New Brunswick, New Jersey. It has seating for 1,850 people and is one of the oldest theaters in New Jersey. These internships require a minimum of 15 hours each week between Mon-Fri (9am-5:30pm), per a mutually agreed upon schedule. Interns must have strong organizational skills, strong writing skills, and working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.  These positions are unpaid but students can arrange to receive college credit.
