Attention May 2020 Graduates: 2020 NYC Urban Fellows Program
The New York City Urban Fellows Program is a highly selective, nine-month fellowship which combines work in Mayoral offices and City agencies with volunteer service opportunities and a seminar series that explores current urban issues impacting public policy. The program is designed to introduce a diverse group of graduates to local government and public service. You’ll be placed at an array of agencies – a great way to build a network and identify pathways to a career in public service. Find additional application instructions here.
AmeriCorps VISTA – Paid Community Engagement Work
A recent Drew alum brought to our attention a terrific opportunity through AmeriCorps VISTA and its local affiliate HOPES. VISTA is a year long paid volunteer position through AmeriCorps in which individuals work with a local non-profit organization. In this case, volunteers would participate and assist in building various programs that HOPES offers. HOPES currently has five open positions: Healthcare VISTA, Financial Literacy VISTA, College Readiness VISTA, School Safety and Security VISTA, and Workforce Development VISTA. For more information contact Leanza Rodriguez (C’19) at firstname.lastname@example.org or head straight to the application here.
