Friends Committee on National Legislation

Are you trying to figure your next steps after graduation? Do you have summer plans? Have you considered applying to Friend’s Committee on National Legislation young adult programs? FCNL has an 11-month fellowship, a summer internship, and a 10-month community organizing program. They are all paid opportunities. You can find out more here!

Drew Professor Laurel Kearns shared this opportunity with us after her son completed an exciting fellowship with FCNL. Each fellow had to give a speech about why they applied; here is his:

The Friends Committee on National Legislation lobbies Congress and the administration to advance peace, justice, opportunity, and environmental stewardship. FCNL fields an expert team of lobbyists on Capitol Hill and works with a grassroots network of tens of thousands of people across the country to advance policies and priorities established by our governing General Committee. FCNL is a nonpartisan organization that seeks to live our values of integrity, simplicity, and peace as we build relationships across political divides to move policies forward.
