Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum – NYC – Paid Summer Internships

The Guggenheim is currently accepting applications for summer 2020 internships in departments across the institution. The objective of the Internship Program is to provide practical training experience to individuals interested in pursuing careers in the arts and museum fields. All summer interns make a stipend in the amount of $5,250 for participation in the complete 10-week program.  The Summer 2020 program begins on Monday, June 1 and ends on Friday, August 7.  Please note, candidates must be of junior-year college level or above to be considered. Preference will be given to rising college juniors or seniors, or current graduate students. The application deadline is February 7, 2019.

Playwright’s Horizon – NYC – Development Assistant

Playwrights Horizons is an award winning off-Broadway writer’s theater dedicated to the support and development of contemporary American playwrights, composers and lyricists, and to the production of their new work. They are seeking a candidate who will provide development administrative support for a dynamic seven-member fundraising team, raising $4 million annually. The Development Assistant plays an important role by providing administrative support across all Development Department activities, including donor outreach and benefit fulfillment. The ideal candidate will be detail-orientated and comfortable with interacting with donors, board members, artists and staff at all levels of the organization.

Playwright’s Horizon – NYC – Paid Internships (Fellowship Program)

The Playwrights Horizons Theatrical Fellowship Program offers excellent practical experience in training for a career in the arts and affords an opportunity to learn from some of the top professionals in the American theater. Fellowships usually begin in either August or September and continue through the production season, most often concluding the following June. Fellows receive a $50 daily stipend to help offset the costs of housing and other living expenses. Fellows also receive unlimited MetroCards (a monthly value of $127) for the duration of the season, support for professional development, and complimentary tickets. March 2, 2020: Applications due for all Directing and Stage Management fellowships. March 16, 2020: Applications due for all other fellowships.

Mayo Performing Arts Center – Morristown – Paid Internship

MPAC’s Education Department is looking for a student to assist with their after school program.  It would be 3 days a week from 3:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.  It is a good introduction to this program.  If you are interested in applying, send your resume and cover letter to arbelkin28@gmail.com

Museum of the City of New York – NYC – Fellowship

The Museum of the City of New York will host a 2-year fellowship provided by the FAO Schwarz Family Foundation for graduating college seniors. The FAO Schwarz Fellowship Program provides a unique opportunity to work on both direct service and special projects while also receiving professional development, mentoring and access to a network of professionals committed to issues of social justice. The FAO Schwarz Fellow at the Museum will play a leading role in teaching students in grades K – 12, and developing STEAM curriculum integrated in three program areas: field trips, out-of-school-time programs, and professional learning opportunities for teachers. The fellowship will provide a rich introduction to the field of Museum Education. Applications must be sent by February 15, 2020.

Viacom CBS – NYC – Music & Media Licensing and Standards Paid – Summer 2020 Internship

Viacom is seeing an intern for their Music & Media Licensing. This department negotiates costs and secures rights for music and other media used in programming. They research and review copyright ownership information, draft and prepare music licensing contracts for execution and analyze programming rights information for internal and external clients.

Viacom CBS – NYC – Creative Development & Programming – Summer 2020 Internship

Viacom is seeing an intern for Creative Development & Programming. This department handles the creation of digital and linear projects from initial pitch to premiere. This could include scripted, unscripted series, specials, docs, as well as short form stunts. These teams work with writers, producers and show runners to create content that utilizes new storytelling formats and new production models.
