Summer Internship with Save the Children

Looking for a summer internship opportunity in the Fairfield CT or Washington DC  area? Are you interested in gaining hands-on experience and exposure to the non-profit world? Save the Children Internships provide the chance to engage in meaningful work while collaborating with innovative teams, receiving mentoring and networking opportunities, and academic, career, and personal development. Recruitment dates for the Summer (June to August) program are from February to May. Spend the Summer in DC

February 11 is the priority deadline for The Fund for American Studies Summer 2020 D.C. Academic Internship Program. There is also information about the Service + Citizenship Academy for students interested in civic engagement and nonprofit work. TFAS students leave Washington with 250+ hours of professional experience, an expanded network of contacts, and a greater understanding of the variety of career opportunities.  The TFAS program includes:

  •  Course credit from George Mason University
  • An engaging internship placement with a nonprofit organization
  • Furnished on-campus housing
  • Professional development and networking activities

Join Teach for America!

For over three decades, extraordinary leaders have joined Teach For America and brought their creativity into classrooms across the country. As a corps member, you’ll receive a salary and benefits from the school district, charter school, or pre-K center where you will work as a full-time teacher. You’ll be paid the same as other beginning teachers working for the same employer. Salaries typically range from $33,000 to $58,000, depending on where you teach. Litigation & Law Summer Intern at Planned Parenthood

Interested in reproductive justice, health law, racial and economic justice, and/or public interest law more generally? Considering a summer internship? Why not work with the nation’s leading women’s health care provider, educator, and advocates?

Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA) is the nation’s leading women’s health care provider, educator, and advocate, serving women, men, teens and families. For over 100 years, PPFA has done more than any other organization in the United States to improve women’s health and safety, prevent unintended pregnancies, and advance the right and ability of individuals and families to make informed and responsible health care decisions.

Interns can expect to work closely with PPFA attorneys on a wide variety of litigation responsibilities, including legal research and analysis; drafting memoranda, pleadings, affidavits, and briefs; factual development for ongoing or developing litigation; and communicating with clients. Work on a Democratic State Senate Campaign in NJ

Democratic State Senate candidate Cliff Dawkins is seeking resourceful students to be interns this spring. An internship with the Cliff Dawkins campaign is an excellent opportunity for students to learn about the campaign process from the very beginning of the cycle. We hope that you will pass this along to your students. 

What Team Dawkins interns will Do:

  • Canvass
  • Phone bank
  • Recruit, train and supervise volunteers
  • Manage the campaign Facebook, Twitter and Instagram pages
  • Update the campaign website
  • Plan and organize rallies and fundraisers
  • Build call time lists for fundraising
