Finance Internship – Dun & Bradstreet Summer 2020

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor performance of actual and forecasted financial results for certain Business Units, citing key P&L variance drivers
  • Analyze product trends and underlying performance metrics, leveraging analysis to present actionable insights to drive growth
  • Assist in preparation of monthly management materials to Business Unit and Functional leaders
  • Work collaboratively with team members across the Finance organization to understand P&L impact of key deals
  • Analyze large quantities of data and deliver a concise message on what the data is telling us
  • Complete project related to a specific initiative, which will be presented to key leaders/constituents across the company

RISK ANALYST INTERN – Morristown, NJ  – GUY CARPENTER COLLEGE PROGRAM 2020

The Risk Analyst Intern provides support to all account team members and contributes to strategic recommendations and problem solving for clients. Interns should develop a broad understanding of the environment in which the insured operates, and the marketplace in which the transactions Guy Carpenter handles take place. Interns will assist in the broking team with client and market research and financial analysis for current and prospective clients. You will be
responsible for communicating particulars for the account internally, including the clients budgeted revenue to management and details about the placement to GC Specialties for inclusion in market and peer studies.

Summer 2020 Internship – Harper Collins Publishers Corporate Strategy

Harper Collins is currently seeking a summer intern to work on their Strategy and Innovation team! Strategy and Innovation focuses on the growth and future of HarperCollins. They are looking at the future of reading, how to sell stories to their customers of tomorrow, how to get their authors’ stories into the hands of more people, what innovations will impact the book industry, and so much more. It’s an exciting set of questions and this team works with all parts of the business and across all HC global offices to find these answers!

The HarperCollins Summer Internship Program is a paid 10-week program which runs from June 1 through August 7.  All interns work Monday through Thursday, for a total of 28 hours per week.  As a HarperCollins intern, you will learn about the entire publishing process – following one book from beginning to end while hearing from the people who worked on it in our weekly lunch and learn series (lunch is provided!). You will work on a publishing project throughout the summer with your fellow interns and have the opportunity to present your findings to senior staff.  There are plenty of opportunities to network including an icebreaker bowling trip, and the end of the program culminates with a presentation called “How to Get a Job in Publishing” – offering advice on your resume, cover letter, interview, and networking.
