The Clean Cities University Workforce Development Program is an initiative of Clean Cities, a government-industry partnership sponsored by the U.S. Department of Energy’s Vehicle Technologies Program.The Clean Cities internship will give students studying communications, public relations, business, marketing, engineering or environmental sciences, the opportunity to grow public awareness and expand the markets of advanced vehicle technologies, alternative fuels, and practices that reduce the consumption of petroleum. Students have participated in research, outreach activities, public education, K-12 outreach, fleet events, and a vast array of transportation-related environmental projects.

Early Talent Summer Internship at Novo Nordisk
Interns will be immersed in the environment of a global pharmaceutical company and contribute to the line of business by providing sustainable and meaningful project work. This internship program also includes instructor led trainings, career presentations by senior leadership, and a guided mentorship program to offer professional and personal development. In addition to individual department responsibilities, interns will participate in the Innovation in Action Case Competition. Assigned to cross-functional teams, interns will work closely to develop an innovative and comprehensive solution to a business problem currently facing Novo Nordisk. At the conclusion of the program, teams will present their findings to a board of top Novo Nordisk officials representing the various lines of business.

Environmental Health & Safety Engineering Intern at Arconic
An Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Engineer Intern will perform industrial air and noise sampling, develop an EHS training database, develop a medical testing roster based on job function, compile a database of cranes/slings and below the hook devices for a specific operation, interview employees on the process specific operation and then write detailed lock out procedures for that process/equipment, complete machine guarding assessments on multiple pieces of shop floor equipment, and participate in incident investigations.
