AmeriCorps Position at Drew!

Seeking One Year Reduced Full-Time (1200 hours) or Full-Time (1700 hours) Changebuilders Community Engagement Coordinator. Tentative Start date: September 8-18, 2020 pending grant confirmation. The Changebuilders Program is a Collaboration between New Jersey Campus Compact and Drew University.

Major duties and responsibilities include increasing Drew students’ participation in community service and civic engagement by recruiting 50 students to volunteer for at least 40 hours each over the course of the year, supporting existing and creating new community service opportunities and promoting these to students in ways that are inclusive of all identities, ethnicities, races, religions, or socioeconomic backgrounds, coordinating students’ scheduled volunteer hours, maintaining records of their volunteer hours and actions, and working with your supervisor to maintain program compliance, including tracking all relevant program data and compiling these monthly and quarterly. As part of a statewide cohort of Community Engagement Coordinators, you will participate in training and professional development workshops. NJ Manager of New Voices

Free Press is working to create a world where people have the information and opportunities they need to tell their stories, hold leaders accountable, and participate in our democracy. Multi-media Internship

The Food Bank of South Jersey is the largest source of government and non-government food assistance in South Jersey. The New York Disaster Interfaith Services (NYDIS) is a faith-based federation of over 60 diverse judicatories, disaster human services providers, and charitable organizations who work in partnership to provide disaster readiness, response, and recovery services to New York City. In connection with AmeriCorps they have two positions designed to inspire, connect, and provide resources for New York City to create an urban environment of social justice for all.

The Emergency Shelter Network Civic Corps Member, as part of AmeriCorps, offers the opportunity to serve as a key team member helping to support and mobilize 1,500 volunteers annually to fight homelessness in NYC while having the change to build relationships across our network and gain experience in volunteer and community engagement, event planning and production, and data management and survey tools. The Disaster Chaplaincy AmeriCorps Member will support increased volunteer Disaster Chaplain recruitment, retention, tracking, and training efforts directly through the NYDIS’ Faith Sector Community Preparedness program (FSCPP), our partners, member congregations, and through the development of a robust volunteer management system to help support volunteer Disaster Chaplains while being a consistent point of contact for congregation partners.
