The Apprentice Program is a program designed to develop high potential individuals, with a passion for late night comedy, and foster a pipeline of diverse talent for future roles within The Late Show. Program participants will rotate through different job assignments within The Late Show in a structured process that will provide them with valuable opportunities to learn about comedy writing, research, production from inside a fun and dynamic late night talk show. This is much more than a behind-the-scenes look at the entertainment business! The Late Show Apprentice Program is a 12-month, fast-track opportunity specifically targeted to individuals who have a Bachelor’s degree, have at least a year of experience and are interested in developing their writing and production skills. Associates will have the opportunity to rotate among some of the various departments including Research, Production, Editorial.

There is an exciting opportunity available for an Assistant Editor to join the HarperVia team in their General Books Group. In this role you will provide support to an Executive Editor and Associate Publisher. This is a great opportunity for someone who has interest in bringing global titles to the US market.  You will assist in coordinating the publication process from manuscript to book, including contracts, permissions, photos, and licensing, solicit, organize, and handle author bios, photos and digital author profile, and more. Backstage is focused on providing the best career platform and marketplace to match performing artists (actors, models, dancers and musicians) with talent seekers and focused on creating the best casting tools, providing academic-level career advice and covering industry news for actors and talent seekers. The editorial team at Backstage researches, creates and packages content to support and inspire our users in the major performing arts markets of London, New York City, and Los Angeles. We are looking for an editorial assistant with entry-level journalism/publishing experience to join our team. This is an entry-level contract position with potential for ongoing work, depending on the success of the candidate. You’ll work up to 24 hours per week, spread over Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Tuesdays and Wednesdays will require set hours—on Thursdays the schedule can more flexible.

Split This Rock cultivates, teaches, and celebrates poetry that bears witness to injustice and provokes personal and social change. It calls poets to the center of public life and fosters a national network of socially engaged poets. All of Split This Rock’s programs are designed to bring poetry of provocation and witness into public life and to support the poets who write and perform this critical work. They are accepting applications for a paid Poetry Coalition Fellowship position. This position is 20 hours per week from September 1, 2020 to June 30, 2021. The stipend is $18,720 plus $1,000 toward health care. You are qualified if you have a passion for poetry and familiarity with and/or knowledge of contemporary poets, an interest in literary arts programming, administration, and management, and demonstrated experience in those areas.
