Clinical Outcomes Research Internship at Northwell Health
The Center for Health Innovations and Outcomes Research at The Feinstein Institutes for Medical Research offers a 12-month, paid internship for 1-2 accomplished college graduates, who plan on continuing their graduate/professional education. Interns will gain operational and clinical experience by working with various clinical research professionals on a healthcare-related project. Interns will work under the guidance of a faculty mentor and will have the opportunity to be exposed to research conducted in one or more settings, such as outpatient, inpatient, and/or community settings. Interns will gain an understanding of the research process and may participate in study design, patient recruitment, data collection, data analysis, and/or dissemination of results. Interns will be exposed to quantitative and qualitative methods, such as analyzing large datasets, collecting survey data, and conducting focus groups. This year-long experience will help students explore career paths and gain work experience in healthcare research. Selected applicants will have the opportunity to work closely with various members of the Center for Health Innovations and Outcomes Research. They will work on research projects on a variety of topics in up to five core research areas: Predictive Medicine, Behavioral Research, Decision Science, Community Health, and/or Health Services. Remote AmeriCorps Fellowship – Amber Charter Schools Partnership (December 2020-June 2021) at Great Oaks Charter Schools
Great Oaks Foundation (GOF) Americorps Fellows will be selected to provide high dosage academic tutoring and supportive mentorship to students in their assigned 3rd, 4th or 5th grade class every day. Fellows will also collaborate with diverse stakeholders, including colleagues and families, to contribute to an enriching school community where students thrive. Fellows will serve students who are learning remotely from December to June. Through the month of December, all students will remain in 100% remote learning; students may opt-in to hybrid learning from January to June. Lean more here!
Great Oaks AmeriCorps Fellowship Half-Time Member (900 Service Hours) at Great Oaks Charter Schools
INSTRUCT FOR MASTERY – The GO Fellowship, with its intense focus on individualized instruction, changes education outcomes for students. Small group instruction delivered in the context of a supportive relationship between student and AmeriCorps Fellow will result in a significant increase in student math and ELA achievement. Members will deliver on average, over 200 hours of individualized instruction per student – high-quality lesson time that students in other schools do not receive.
MENTOR FOR LEADERSHIP – Fellows have a fundamental role in supporting students in their social and emotional growth. Fellows collaborate with teachers to coach their students to have a personal investment in their success and to build an understanding that they have control over their lives. Fellows help empower our students to evolve into leaders.

2021 Summer Research Training Program in Biomedical Big Data Science at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai
The Ma’ayan Laboratory’s 2021 Summer Research Training Program in Biomedical Big Data Science is a research intensive ten-week training program for undergraduate and master’s students interested in participating in cutting edge research projects aimed at solving data-intensive biomedical problems. Summer fellows training in the Ma’ayan Laboratory conduct faculty-mentored independent research projects in the following areas: data harmonization, machine learning, cloud computing and dynamic data visualization.
