Metropolitan Museum of Art | MuSe Internship Program | NYC | Paid | $17 an hour

The Met offers paid opportunities for undergraduate and graduate students, as well as recent graduates, to explore museum careers and gain professional experience during the summer. The Met strongly encourages applications from students who are members of groups underrepresented in careers related to museums and the visual arts. The Museum Seminar (MuSe) Internship Program awards ten-week, nine-month, or twelve-month internships to students interested in a career in the arts and fields related to The Met’s many departments, at both The Met Fifth Avenue and The Met Cloisters. In addition to developing skills through projects within Museum departments, interns participate in a weekly seminar series and learn about best practices in museum teaching. Museum of the City of New York | Digital Projects Intern: Summer 2021 | NYC

The Digital Projects Intern role is a researcher, storyteller, and project manager all in one. This role would be an apprenticeship under the Vice President, Marketing Communications. The project helps with the expansion and awareness of the Museum of the City of New York’s brand and digital footprint by identifying, curating, and marketing our exhibitions and collections in digital applications (apps, online channels) that reach both our on-site visitors and digital community. The Museum looks for enthusiastic, energetic, and professional individuals to be part of our team through a variety of opportunities including permanent staff positions, grant-funded positions, internships and volunteer positions.

 Turner / CNN | Virtual HLN Specials Intern – Summer 2021 | NYC | Remote | Paid

The HLN Specials unit will produce over 16 long form crime driven documentary style one hour shows. Interns will assist and participate in producing the long-form documentaries. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: dubbing, transcribing, logging, researching, searching for video and sound, preparing reports, booking guests and assisting with production and administrative tasks. Candidates should be passionate about long-form storytelling, self-motivated, able to multitask, have a good attitude, and be able to function well in fast paced, high volume environment. The Summer 2021 program dates are June 7th through August 13th. The internship will be a full remote/virtual experience. Most internships will provide a company owned laptop for the duration of the internship program. Interns are paid a competitive wage based on bureau location and relocation is not provided as the program is fully remote/virtual. Participation in the internship program is reserved for students who are currently enrolled in college. Most positions are targeted to upperclassmen and graduate students. AS IF Magazine is seeking interns to start immediately from January through May. AS IF is a high-end fashion and art publication highlighting the creative minds of our times. Interns must have a go-getter attitude. Interns will learn about magazine production from A to Z, and help build our digital footprint on Asifmag.com. Interns will assist on photoshoots and pre and post productions of shoots, transcribe interviews, learn how to communicate with PR companies, assist the digital team with stories, and other aspects of magazine production. Each summer for ten weeks, interns are supported through an internship with a New York City or New Jersey based arts host organization, a mentor, professional development and cultural activities, as well as a cohort that will serve as a strong foundation to their growing careers.
