Whitney Museum | NYC | Summer Internship | Paid $5000 stipend

The Whitney’s summer internship is a full-time, paid, nine-week session primarily for undergraduate students. The program includes training, direct work experience, professional development, and a mentorship program that connects interns with key Whitney staff. The 2021 internship runs from Monday, June 7 through Friday, August 6. Participants are expected to be available Monday through Friday for nine consecutive weeks, five days per week. Please review the department descriptions and refer to the list on the application—not all departments will be taking interns for the summer. The decision regarding whether the program will be in-person or virtual has not yet been determined. Interns are assigned to a specific museum department for the duration. Priority consideration is given to rising juniors and seniors at accredited undergraduate programs. The deadline for submissions is January 29, 2021 at midnight EST.

CNN Anderson Cooper 360 | Summer Intern 2021 | Remote

Backed by the global resources of CNN, Anderson’s anchor desk is Central Command for a 360-degree look at world events — covering not only the day’s top stories, but the fascinating, the unexpected and the underreported. Interns gain insight into the editorial process while interning at CNN NY. In production, interns learn how to transcribe tape, dub video, use the various CNN databases, write for air, and work with producers from story inception to finished package. Interns will book and greet show guests and assist in basic Administrative tasks. The intern’s schedule will vary and shift throughout their internship, so they can participate in all aspects of the show. The Summer 2021 program dates are June 7th through August 13th. The internship will be a full remote/virtual experience. Most internships will provide a company owned laptop for the duration of the internship program. Interns are paid a competitive wage based on bureau location and relocation is not provided as the program is fully remote/virtual. Participation in the internship program is reserved for students who are currently enrolled in college. Most positions are targeted to upperclassmen and graduate students. Metropolitan Museum of Art | The Museum Seminar (MuSe) Internship Program and Part-time Internships | Paid $17.00 an hour

The Museum Seminar (MuSe) Internship Program awards ten-week, nine-month, or twelve-month internships to students interested in a career in the arts and fields related to The Met’s many departments, at both The Met Fifth Avenue and The Met Cloisters. In addition to developing skills through projects within Museum departments, interns participate in a weekly seminar series and learn about best practices in museum teaching. Long term nine-month and twelve-month internships are also available. These long-term interns fully participate in the MuSe program during the summer. Part-time internships are intended primarily for students who are in an early, exploratory phase of their studies, such as first- and second-year undergraduates. These internships are more flexible than MuSe internships in terms of scheduling, and are ideal for students who are taking summer classes. Interns may be placed in any Museum department, depending on their interests, skills, and Museum staff resources. Learn about all the possible internship placement areas at The Met. The NFL Films Summer 2021 Internship program runs May 24, 2021 – August 13, 2021. Applicants must be available for the entire duration of the internship session, at least three full days a week from Monday through Friday (Full days = 8 hours; Half days are not available for most positions).  This internship is open to current college students and recent college graduates only.  Acceptance is contingent upon the outcome of a standard background investigation.
