Club Spotlight: Drew Pagan Society

Student organization: Drew Pagan Society

What is the mission of your student organization? Why should students join your organization?

The purpose of Drew Pagan Society is to explore Pagan Traditions, holidays, and beliefs, and to provide a supportive environment for individuals to share and develop their spirituality. We are a safe space for ALL. You do not need to be a Pagan to come to our meetings.

What are some traditional events your organization hosts? Why do you enjoy them?

Our biggest events of the year are Samhain in the fall, and Beltane in the spring. Samhain is a ritual around Halloween time. It emphasizes the death of nature, the end of the harvest, and the beginning of colder months ahead. Beltane is a May Day celebration that welcomes spring and all that the season has to offer.

How does your student organization support its member and the greater Drew Community?

We provide a safe environment for Drew students to explore their spirituality and educate themselves.

What Launch Community (Identity/Affinity or Career) does your student organization align with most? Why?

Religious and Spirituality
