Your work is the foundation of a Drew education—and never more so than with Launch. With its community-development model, Launch calls on each of us to contribute to a collective effort to enhance the Drew undergraduate experience. On this website you can learn more about Launch and your critical role in putting Drew students on the path to college success, career readiness, and life after Drew. And you can discover valuable resources that support students throughout their Launch journey.
When advising students and answering their questions, guide them toward these helpful Launch resources:
Encourage your students to expand their networks through the Mentors page under Launchpad’s Explore Opportunities tab, as well as on the Career Communities and Affinity/Identity Communities Launchpad pages, our curated spaces for connecting people and opportunity in shared areas of interest. Of course, these resources grow more valuable with every mentor who signs on—have you joined Drew connect? To do so, go to Drew Connect, create your profile, and join the Launch Communities of your interest so that you become available to the corresponding students in the Launchpad Community pages.
Clubs and Events
Some students are just finding their place at Drew; others are ready to become leaders on campus. Guide both groups toward our Events page in Launchpad or The Path, where they can connect with current opportunities or find the inspiration to start new endeavors.
When advising on ways to fulfill immersive experience requirements, make sure your students know the wide range of options. While research, internships and study abroad quickly come to mind, an on-campus job or a student leadership experience can also count. Point your students to the Explore Opportunities and How to tabs in Launchpad or encourage them to contact a Launch Center for Immersive Learning & Career Development staff member to talk through ideas.
Central to Launch is career development and readiness for every student. Keep in mind that Launchpad can connect your students with internships, on-campus employment, and full-time jobs and employers. And, if you have an on-campus job you would like to make available to students, please post it in Handshake, our new dynamic database of jobs, internships, volunteer opportunities, and employers available to students through Launchpad.
