Faith, Religion & Spirituality

This community invites students, faculty, staff, and community members to explore the ways our differing faiths, religious traditions, and spiritual experiences challenge us to engage in connection, inclusion, and justice with one another and the rest of the world.  The Religious Life Groups involved in this community are the Drew Hillel, the Muslim Student Association, Catholic Campus Ministries, D.H.A.R.M.A, and the Drew Pagan Society.

The Faith, Religion & Spirituality Identity/Affinity Community brings together people who occupy or practice a variety of religious traditions, spiritual methods, and faith tenets to work together amidst our differences—strengthened by our commonality—to help each other and the world find hope and meaning in life.  Living in the polarizing culture of our world today which proclaims differences to be irreconcilable threats, we believe that as people of religious faith and spiritual practice that we are called to create an environment of inclusion and understanding.  Now, more than ever, we seek to  discern the many truths that orient us to the world in a way that will transform it for the better.  Together, through the collaboration of our religious faith traditions and spiritual commitments, we can unearth the common thread that runs through us as humanity.  Together, with our many experiences, cultures, and perspectives, we can see a clearer, fuller, more beautiful portrait of the Divine and how the Divine is calling us to transform the world in hope and action.

If you are a person of any faith, a person of no faith, or a person who is seeking a community of hope to make a difference with meaning and purpose, you are welcome here.  We hope to walk alongside one another on our journey toward wholeness, healing, and justice.
