About the Panel

Join us for a conversation with employers, alums, and students who are active in the K-12 Education Career Community. We’ll spend the first half of the panel in a moderated question and answer session, then break out into smaller conversations.

Meet the Panelists

Nancy Vitalone-Raccaro, Ph.D.

Associate Professor of Education, Drew University

Nancy Vitalone-Raccaro (PhD, Temple University) has a teaching career dedicated to the field of Special Education. As an expert teacher educator, Dr. Vitalone-Raccaro is committed to training teachers who are critical thinkers and prepared to meet the challenges of 21st century classrooms.

Kashon Lopes, C’13/G’14

Summer School Principal, Newark Public Schools

Kashon Lopes is a devout educator and educational leader. His love of literature and language are only superseded by his passion for teaching and learning, students, and urban education.

Lauren Mastropierro, C’18, G’19

Teacher, Hanover Park School District

Lauren graduated from Drew in 2018 with a major in Spanish and a minor in Psychology. She went on to get her Master of the Arts in Teaching from Drew in 2019. As a graduate student, she did her student teaching in 4th Grade in the Morris School District and is currently in the Hanover Township school system as a first grade teacher. She also coaches softball and serves as a wellness coach.

Dylan Jones, C’15

District Data Specialist, Sunflower County Consolidated School District

Dylan Jones serves as the District Data Specialist for the Sunflower County Consolidated School District (SCCSD). In this role, Dylan is responsible for overseeing all instructional programs, district benchmarks, the gifted education program and data systems for Sunflower County.
